Longmere Lake has a public access boat ramp and is used by sport anglers fishing for stocked rainbow trout and Coho salmon, water skiers, recreational boaters, swimmers, float tubers, and jet skiers.

The City of Soldotna is situated along the banks of the Kenai River; and is within driving distance of Homer, Seward, and Anchorage. Since Soldotna is located at the center of the Kenai Peninsula, visitors have access to breathtaking nature-from salmon, caribou herds, eagles, waterfowl, bears, and of course, moose.
